Hi! I'm Matt. I'm 25 and originally from Alabama. As my personal Twitter account states: I'm a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, a co-ed professional business fraternity (and vice-president of my local alumni chapter). In addition to my full-time job, I'm a freelance video producer doing business as Matt Thomas Productions. I love music, sports, road trips, numbers, weather, maps, & grammar. Sometimes I tend to be a perfectionist, and also a procrastinator.

I currently reside in Chicago. But maybe not for long. For over a year I've been stuck in a holding pattern: I live in the city, but work well out in the suburbs. 70 minutes away by car and 1½-2 hours away by public transportation - and I sold my car last November. My work situation has severely limited the ability to do several things I want to do.  Right now, I feel like I'm just surviving here and not thriving.

During the first full weekend of August 2009, I attended the biennial convention held by AKPsi in Orlando, Florida. I came back with new friends from all across the country, and an increased desire to travel around to see new sights and catch up with my fraternity brothers. Just a few days later, I found my answer: JetBlue's "All-You-Can-Jet" Pass. The deal: unlimited flights to and from any JetBlue destination between September 8th and October 8th. It seemed too good to be true: not just the deal, but the opportunity that arose in front of me just when I wanted it. I seriously considered buying the pass. But one big obstacle remained: What about my work situation?

The essence of McCallYouCanJet is this: I would take advantage of the unlimited travel offered by the pass and line up job interviews in several cities where JetBlue flies - as many as possible. I would develop a tentative route to strategically place myself in several cities to where I would consider relocating, with the flexibility (offered by the pass) to divert if need be. Along with the way, I would catch up with friends and family, and more or less have the time of my life. And "McCall"? That's my last name. It worked out kinda nice, huh?
